Ray and Flossie Arrive
Founded on a legacy of North Shore spirit, Ray and Flossie Gervais encountered Andrew Olson, the owner of the land where our store now stands. This laid the groundwork for what would become a cherished community landmark.
1938
The Lakeview Opens
Despite setbacks, including a fire that razed the first building, Ray and Flossie persisted, opening the Lakeview grocery store, bar, and gas station in 1938. Over the years it evolved, housing local employees with a dance floor/pool hall.
1991
Jeanne Takes the Helm
In 1991, Jeanne Rysdahl envisioned a haven for outdoor enthusiasts seeking quality gear and expert guidance. On July 3rd, 1994, WatersEdge Trading Company was born, igniting a legacy of service and passion for the North Shore.
2018
Hans Takes Command
When hands changed again in 2018, Hans Krengel was determined to ensure that the tradition thrives, offering a curated selection of outdoor essentials and warm Northwoods hospitality.
