Hospitality on Lake Time
If you’ve visited us before, you might have noticed our hours are a little unique — usually 9ish to 5:30ish. That “ish” isn’t about being late. It’s about being present. It’s our way of reminding ourselves (and our guests) that life on the shore is better when you have a moment to watch the sunrise, talk to a neighbor, or ensure a traveler has exactly what they need for the adventure ahead. We believe in high-quality gear and high-quality hospitality, delivered with a relaxed, Northwoods heart.

Our team is a mix of long-time locals, outdoor enthusiasts, and curators of fine goods. We’re here to help you find the perfect-fitting pair of Darn Tough socks, a luxury sweater for a night out, or the best spot to catch the sunset on the North Shore.

Owner
Hans grew up learning the retail ropes from his Dad before taking over WatersEdge in 2017. You can find him chasing his three kids around the North Shore when he’s not at the store.

Nick is excited to share his love of the outdoors, offering over 18 years of experience in outdoor education and recreation. Nick enjoys spending time with friends and family outside of work.

Annika brings 14 years of retail experience and over 18 years spent in outdoor education and recreation. A Duluth native, Annika enjoys spending time with her husband and dog.
